The passion of wine since 1890: the passion of the soil transmitted from father to son for five generations guarantees the authenticity of the wines of Clos de l’Eglise. The farm covers 20 hectares of vineyards surrounding the family home. Clos de l’Eglise is now managed by Arnaud Vigneau, a young winemaker who loves the land and is passionate about the vine. In the family, we combine tradition and modernity by taking care to maintain the balance between the vineyard, the cellar and human relations.
The origin of the Madiran vineyard dates back to the first century BCE. But it is from the Middle Ages that production and trade develop. It has been classified AOC since 1948. In the heart of the South-West, the Madiran AOC area is located on the borders of the departments of Gers (32), Pyrénées Atlantiques (64) and Hautes-Pyrénées (65).

Tannat good for health: The tannins have an antiseptic function against the bacteria of contamination and protect against the oxidation. Recall the exceptional richness of Tannat polyphenols, by nature anti-oxidants and that make Tannat, the most beautiful ambassador of this “French paradox” envied by so many consumers of wine in the world. The antioxidant properties of Tannat play an essential role in the protection against cardiovascular diseases.
